hood armor

I have no issues with wind noise, typically driving 80-85 on the highway.

I didn't care much for the look to begin with, but I put it on there because after a few months of owning it I was getting rock chips on the front of my hood just from my commute. So I'll be keeping it for sure.

I had the Aeroskin Hood Protector and it too made noises at 50MPH until 56MPH

I installed this and the matching trail armor for the fenders last November. Never had any issues with them whatsoever and I never noticed any noise just a little vibration of the hood at certain speeds.

I installed this a month ago and have noticed a difference in the amount of bugs I catch with the windshield, only downside since I've graphene coated, the rain wash's all of the dust and polin to the top of this and you have a 1 inch strip of dirt above it after it rains due to not being able to run off hood

I had my dealer install the hood armor on my Bronco. I picked it up yesterday and it is coming off today!
It causes loud buffeting, thumping wind noise at highway speeds.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Not sure I liked the look all that much either.

Who makes this one? Has anyone tried the Husky or Weather Tech?

No problem with mine for the last 3 months.

I had planned on getting one installed on mine to reduce bug splats and hopefully small rock chips. Had not thought about the drainage issue….

I installed mine, with an assist from Mr. @Darrel. I've not noticed a wind issue. It has helped with rock chips and bugs. It will hold a lot of water, but, where I live, we avg 9" a year. So, that's only a problem at bath time. There is 2 stripe of adhesive on it, weird it causes a wind noise. Have heard those with light bars say it increased wind noise, that makes sense. Good Luck!

I installed the same one myself and have no issues. I don't know how you take it off without possibly damaging the paint.

Same here. I know it has saved me rock damage.

Have you driven with it on and off? These Broncos already have wind noise to start

I've had mine installed now for several months and no added wind noise but a lot fewer bugs. I installed mine and the tape is front and back but it has a few small voids to let the water
that builds up behind it drain. I would recommend this add to everyone just for the reduction in bugs you have to clean off the windshield.

Got it with some of my points and installed it a couple of months ago. Haven't had any issues whatsoever.

I ordered mine from ford, some where on one of the 2 sites I read a thread about the weather tech one not being that good Plus it has the "weathertech " logo on it

Air "Thumps" like when you have the front window down, but not the back window, or "Thumps" like it's slapping against the hood?
