Modifying body-color accessory cover above windshield for light bar wiring

Hey everyone. I will soon be receiving a KC Pro6 Gravity 50" curved light bar to install on my Gobi roof rack. The roof rack/light bar mount connects to the upper windshield accessory mounts in a way that allows the reinstalling of the body-color accessory mount covers. My question is, has anyone installed a light bar that allows installing those covers and what did you do to the covers to allow the wiring to pass through? I am thinking about just notching a section, which will work, but I want to make sure the install is as clean as possible.

Just looking to see what others have done in this, or a similar, situation. Attached is a photo showing the upper mount and cover. I will be passing the wire through the passenger side windshield header.

Thanks!
Casey

I'll be following this. I plan on getting the same light bar down the road. Anxious to here about the wind noise.

My M&R light bar also allows for the OEM covers to be reinstalled once the bar is attached. I simply ran the wires under the cap on the inboard side of the passenger mount and that are out of sight.

Thank you for the pic! I wasn’t sure if there was enough room to do that. I know my covers are on a hair trigger and ready to pop off as it is. Thankfully, they haven’t. I also don’t know how much wire sheathing will be on this light bar. Thanks again! The Bronco looks great!
