As a component of our Bronco build, my wife and I are looking for colored lug nuts to replace the standard silver. I ordered a set from Amazon but promptly returned them because they look too "flimsy" to be trusted in an off-road condition. In an effort to reduce the trial and error that comes from ordering the wrong thing, I am looking to experience here:
1. Is it possible to simply color the existing lug nuts (i.e. powder coating)? Don't wanna paint because that's just gonna scratch off during tire changes / rotations.
2. Are there lug nuts available, that are substantial enough to run on the Bronco, that come in colors? (not interested in bullets nor spikes :-) already saw those).
