Who has the oldest Gen 2 Bronco (or first build date) on the.forum? I’ve heard many were built early and stockpiled for the release date.

My 78 was manufactured on 1/6/78. I am sure there are others here built much earlier than mine.

I know the location of one built on day 5, no the owner will not sell, but to be honest it was found in a salvage yard and is beyond rough to put it nicely.
1979 Bronco Ranger XLT: Factory dark jade and wimbleton special tutone, 32,000 original miles, sport steering wheel, CB, lighted vanity, AC, etc.
2021 Bronco Badlands carbonized gray, 4Dr, 2.7, lux, leather, Trektop.

3/9/79, three days ahead of schedule. Sold on 5/3/79 out of the Bus Horton Dealership in Oklahoma City, OK.

Ours was built September 27th, 1977 and sold 10 days later. We've had it in the family since 1982.
