Bronco Order Survey & Analysis Project

Good day, Bronco Nation!

As an analyst by profession, I often think about all the repetitious questions on these boards as well the information that individuals attempt to collect via message threads, and sometimes wish we had a formal database that could be referenced, analyzed, and shared among the community. We can't get our hands on all of Ford Motor Company's (FMC) data, so why not collect our own? With this, I want to try to kick off a little survey and analysis project. Below is a link to a survey form that I created to begin gathering data related to Bronco orders.

Data Collection
**Each entry on the form is considered as one (1) order. If you have made multiple orders for a Ford Bronco, please complete the form multiple times (once per order). Currently, this project is intended for Bronco Nation community members only. Over time, I will consider opening the survey to others outside of this group. Please do not share this form with others outside of The Bronco Nation. Thank you.

Order Survey Update Link (Use this form to update a previously submitted entry with your Production, Build, and Delivery Date). This is why your Bronco Nation username is requested - it is used to link the two submissions together in addition to helping with data integrity.
Of Note: You can make multiple updates/entries using this form (date changes, etc.), and you do not have to populate each field with each submission. Updates can be made one field at a time. My data model will always use the most recent data submitted for each field.

Survey Boilerplate (as stated on the survey form):
"Please be honest and accurate when making your selections. This database project - built specifically for use among The Bronco Nation - will be used to analyze the Bronco order experience. All submissions will remain anonymous and the underlying data never shared.

Of Note: I ran a query against Ford's website for a list of all dealers by state and have uploaded it to this survey. If you happen to see one missing, please let me know and I will have it added. However, if it is missing on this survey, it is not listed on Ford's website. I have also have a query on production numbers by plant & model. Check out that page to see how production numbers are rolling over time!

Analysis Project
Overtime, I hope we begin to paint an interesting picture of everyone's experience, in addition to drawing some patterns that we might not have thought of or have considered otherwise. There will be several layers to this and it will include data sources outside of this survey as well (Ford dealer ratings, etc.). Part of the goal is to analyze orders by timeline, geography, dealership, options, price, ADMs, and more. The more data we collect, the more accurate this report will become.

UPDATE (6/29/22): For data integrity and governance purposes, I am going to cease form revisions from this point forward. I feel it is now in a good place, and we certainly can't capture every little thing. I also don't want it getting too big and possibly deterring folks from participating. UPDATE (7/1/22): Analysis of data has begun! Below is a link to the dashboard that is driven by your submissions. Thank you very much for all of those that have participated thus far. This dashboard & report will continue to grow and develop as I make further revisions. I will post to this thread as new updates are made, but you can also check back at the link below to see if anything new has been added. Thank you again!

UPDATE (7/2/22): There is now a page for 'Order Experience Analysis.' This is just the start of this page - more to come! It runs metrics on average days to delivery, average days to build, average open waiting days (running count of days for those of us still waiting), etc. There are filters for configuration options so you can nail down to the metrics similar to your build. Will continue to provide updates as I develop and publish more. It's coming along!

UPDATE (7/4/22): In addition the new form that allows you to update the Production, Build, and Delivery dates on your original entry, the following updates have been made to the online dashboard:

• On the Dealer Network & Survey heatmap page, the dealer name in the table will show red if there is record of that dealer having charged an ADM

• There is a new page dedicated to dashboard usage Tips & Tricks as well as a Glossary of terms/metrics. This page will continually be updated with new information

• Order Configuration changed to drop down options on Order Experience page
• Model added as drop down option on Order Experience page
• Total Dropped Options by Model chart added to Order Experience page
• Colum chart that now shows average days to delivery by original order month
  • Would expect this to trend down as time progresses
• New Page: Off-Rodeo Analysis - reviews the Off-Rodeo data from the survey

• Estimated Delivery Date Generator now included in the Order Experience page!
  • Configure options
  • Enter your order date
  • Estimated delivery date will display based on average days to deliver of submitted entries
• Countdown to MY23 Order Banks opening day
• Total Survey Update Entries count added to home page
  • Counts all update entries submitted on update form
  • If you have received an update to your order since submitting the initial entry, please submit an update to the database.

UPDATE (7/20/22):

Excited to announce an all new page! I have now queried and added in all production data from Ford Motor Company (source: shareholder.ford.com). I know people view this data in forums as screenshots of Ford press releases, but this is much better ;) This is just a start - I will be working on adding in sales data, too.

• See production rates by plant & model
• Total production rates over time
• Year; Quarter; Month filter added to view by specific time periods
• Model & Plant selector filters at top to narrow down to specifics - Bronco Sport is up there!

Out of request, I have made a couple updates that I will also place in the original post:

1. Survey Update Formnow has the options to update the following:
   1. Dropped Options
   2. Your Bronco's Name!
   3. Added Options coming soon
2. On the 'Order Configuration Analysis' page, you will now see a scrolling list of all Bronco Names submitted along with a total of like submissions - does someone else out there have the same name for their Bronco as you!?
